Euer Tristan Ekker

Welcome to the Webpage of Ekker-Racing. We are an Austrian Rallycross team leading by Tristan Ekker, who's driving a VW Polo 9N TFSI 4WD car in the Supercars class in Rallycross. Main focus is on races for the Austrian and Central-European Championchip, but for the Austrian round of the European Championship we will try to get a perspective of our competitiveness compared the professionals in Europe.

We are running more a no-cost than a low-cost budget. Nearly all of the team members are working in the Automotive business, most of them as mechanics, but some are involved in development and production business for the automotive industry. Therefore we are all gasoline inspired guys and we see in Rallycross a perfect hobby to work and learn on cars, engines, transmissions and also with the organisational stuff which is needed when you will do races in central Europe.

Tristan Ekker was driving a 2WD car years ago. He decided to run a 4WD car, but was only interested to do the most of the development in house, to get a maximum learning output while buidling a race car. So an own, sophistcated direct enjection engine was developed. Also a unique drivetrain with a dogbox transmission from an American racing series was built and developed. Last but not least, doing the design and the buid-up of a race-proven suspension was also goal of the project.

Since 2009 the orange VW Polo is out of the workshop and we started to learn how a 4WD car shell "operate". We will further develope our car and we are hoping that in the future we will be experienced enough to have a car which will be very competitve in Europe.

Nearly all of the articles at our Hompage are in german yet, but we have the plan to bring the whole site to a double language style. In the meanwhile, please take a look to the pictures or try to learn technical german at our website ;-)
